"Ghost in a Cage" (2026, Indonesia, South Korea)

Now in theaters you can catch the crazy comedy-trash (not in a bad sense) horror "Ghost in a Cage" straight from Indonesia. If you're tired of deep metaphors and subtext, this film can give you a different cinematic experience. However, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone [for example, those who miss traditional slashers]; it's a film for enthusiasts.

Plot: a certain entity begins killing prisoners in a jail. To survive, corrupt guards and desperate inmates must unite.

The authors use violence and absurdity as a way to express their opinion, as well as to mock the ugliness of the modern world, where you shouldn't expect 100% justice. There are always many "buts." Cruelty and flying guts add sharpness to the raised themes, while they don't carry any unique meaning, sometimes shocking, provoking, and offering a special kind of cinematic attraction. So keep such niche entertainment in mind when preparing to watch.
