Studio Polydin Studio has unveiled Black Lake — a new psychological horror with survival elements, set to release on PC in winter 2027. Later, tentatively in mid-2027, the game will also arrive on consoles. The developers have already shown a debut trailer and first gameplay footage, revealing the atmosphere of the upcoming project.
The main protagonist is Elena, who returns to the orphanage where she spent her childhood after a mysterious message from her missing twin sister Rita. The shelter should have been empty long ago, but inside everything looks as if life hasn't stopped: the corridors still feel warm, bells ring again, and something inexplicable hides behind the walls. Exploring the building, Elena begins to unravel the story of a forbidden ritual involving children who disappeared many years ago. As she progresses, it becomes clear that some of them may still be here, though no longer in human form.
One of the main features of Black Lake will be the setting. Players will have to explore not just an abandoned orphanage, but a huge children's home drifting in the middle of the sea. This environment is meant to enhance the feeling of isolation and hopelessness, and the first-person perspective will allow maximum immersion in the events, making every encounter with the unknown particularly tense.

According to the developers, Black Lake combines elements of psychological horror, survival, and environmental exploration. Players will have to search for clues, uncover secrets of the past, and gradually piece together the events that turned the orphanage into a place filled with supernatural horrors.
The release of Black Lake on PC is scheduled for winter 2027. Console versions should arrive a few months later, if development proceeds without delays.
