Founded by four veterans of the entertainment industry. Behind the project are Dave Harris, Corey Russell, Jamie McKay, and Blair Vermette, who over the years have worked on projects for Prime Video, Netflix, Crave, and other major platforms, as well as collaborated with leading musical artists. The new studio's headquarters is located in Toronto. Although the company was registered back in June, it has now officially announced its full launch.

Paper Route Studios will focus on producing documentaries and series, advertising campaigns, branded content, and will also provide a full range of production services for American and international studios filming in Canada. One of the key advantages the company cites is the ability to leverage federal and regional tax incentives in Canada, making production in the country significantly more attractive for foreign clients. In addition to its service arm, the studio plans to actively develop its own intellectual property and invest in original projects.

At launch, Paper Route Studios already has documentary projects in various stages of production with CBC, ESPN, and Hulu. The founders have also previously contributed to projects for Prime Video, Netflix, NHL Original Productions, and other major clients. Among the team's recent work is the cinematic advertising campaign The World Lives Here for Canadian sports channel TSN, dedicated to the FIFA World Cup, with narration by Kiefer Sutherland.

The company's founders believe that the documentary film market is undergoing rapid changes, but the main factor for success remains strong stories and high-quality execution. According to them, Paper Route Studios aims to become a platform for directors and partners who prioritize not only the commercial potential of projects but also their substantive value. Additionally, the company plans to actively use modern production technologies, combining them with the team's years of experience to create content capable of engaging an international audience.
