The words 'found, dead' cut off hope. But it's even harder to hear 'not found.' When there is no chance to say goodbye and no answer about where the child is, grief does not let go.
The search on the Desna has been going on for 30 days. Nine-year-old Vanya has not returned home. A lot has been done in a month, but the river is large, the current is strong, the banks are difficult. In the place where the children fell through the ice, it is hard to work.
Rescuers and volunteers are searching together. There is a team, but there are not enough people. Men are needed to hold the motor drill. Those who are ready to watch recordings from underwater cameras are needed. Equipment and life jackets will be provided on site, everything will be shown; you need warm clothes and a willingness to help. If you have your own motor drill, underwater camera, or life jacket, they ask you to bring them.
The headquarters works every day from 09:00 until strength runs out. Those ready to join the search are asked to contact informant Olga at 8(906)505-03-75 or call the LisaAlert hotline at 8(800)700-54-52.
