Time to pack your hospital bag! 🤰

Actually, I started packing as soon as I went on maternity leave 😅
As soon as a friend gave me her bags as a gift and told me that her second labor started early, I thought, "Well, since I have the bag, I need to fill it." At the same time, I felt the urge to fill the changing table, but that's for the next episodes.

So, what do we need? The simplest thing is to go to the website of the perinatal center where you plan to give birth and check the list. I really liked a phrase on one such site:
If the labor process starts suddenly, we will provide you with everything

That's nice. For example, when I gave birth to Nastyushka, they didn't bring my bag, and the newborn was wrapped in hospital clothes. I was most upset that I wasn't wearing compression stockings and there was no oil for the perineum. In the end, there was oil (probably reserved for klutzes like me) and Nastya wasn't left naked.

In short, you need 2️⃣ bags: one for the labor ward and one for the postpartum ward. A rough list is in the pictures below. The most important things, in my opinion: water bottles with a sports cap, headphones (they were very useful during contractions with Nastya—I listened to breathing instructions through them), lip balm, a postpartum belt, various toiletries for yourself and the baby, a nightlight with yellow light, diapers for you and the baby, a book, and your husband. I should have put the last one first 😅

Oh, and one more bag with clothes for discharge. But that stays at home; they'll bring it to you on discharge day. As all websites and bloggers write:
Pack this bag right away, and don't forget shoes/makeup so your husband doesn't have to rack his brain and look for an outfit for you.

In this bag, put not only an outfit for yourself but also for the baby. That makes 3️⃣ bags in total.

So, who's preparing for childbirth with me?
