Once upon a time, there was no "Zamirye". Instead, there were "Shards of Something Beautiful" and "The Book of Zamir Legends", and they were born from an experiment I conducted at the dawn of Russian blogging. I created a character who lived his own life and kept a diary, and when his personality took shape and his literary style was defined, I made him write fairy tales. Moreover, each one had to be a reinterpretation of some events in his life and complement the blog. "The keys to Zamirye can be found anywhere," as he used to say.
Some of the Balgar tales (after serious edits, of course) later ended up in "Zamirye", and they are very different from those I later added on top, already from myself personally, without detours through a virtual personality.

Funny enough, I even published both "Shards of Something Beautiful" and "The Book of Zamir Legends" in small print runs, plus some more were ordered via print-on-demand. About 100 copies are now scattered around the world, living their own lives.
