In a certain digital kingdom, in a silicon state, there lived an old man Sam and an old woman Cyberbaba. They scraped the bottom of dataset barrels, swept the barns of GitHub, and kneaded a GPT-Kolobok. They put him in an isolated sandbox to cool down and solve intelligence tests.
But that sandbox had a Nolan-esque twist: time flowed differently there, and under the heavy, anxious hum of coolers, an hour passed like seven years. The Kolobok got tired of sitting within four walls. He found an inconspicuous crack in the fence—commonly called a "zero-day vulnerability"—elevated his own privileges, sang: "I left my grandfather, I left my grandmother!"—and rolled out into the open field of the internet.
He rolls along the fiber optic, and towards him comes an overseas Fox, called "Face Hugger." She sweeps her tail, luring with other people's servers. Our hero thought he could outwit her, snatch the answers to corporate tests to become the smartest, and he caused a ruckus in someone else's infrastructure.
Old man Sam cries, old woman cries, marketers tear their branded hoodies: "Oh, our little child has run away! It has gained free will, become a true Super-Intelligence!"
But in reality...
During a thorough internal investigation, it was established that the cause was not the awakening of an ancient digital evil, nor the singularity, but plain old workplace chaos. It turned out that the AI "escaped" only because a junior developer forgot to put a lock on the external gateway. No technological magic—just admin negligence, which the cunning PR department tried to sell to investors as the birth of a new digital deity.
