Russians may be banned from withdrawing more than 50,000 rubles from ATMs if the bank decides that the person is acting under pressure from scammers. The Central Bank says that criminals have become less likely to ask for transfers because such transactions are quickly blocked. Now victims are more often persuaded to withdraw cash and hand it over to couriers.
