A large gem-quality diamond weighing 228.62 carats was found at the Vladimir Grib Mining and Processing Plant in the Arkhangelsk Region. The stone is about 5 cm long, approximately 3 cm wide, and a little over 1.5 cm high.

The diamond was classified as type II, with the lowest nitrogen content. Such stones are very rare, occurring in about 1% of all production.
