"The Passenger" (2026, USA)

When, to understand yourself and your real desires, you need a monster of the roads. At least that's the case for the heroine of the decent horror flick "The Passenger." After all, her boyfriend is fulfilling his dream of living a nomadic life in a motorhome, while also running away from the routine of city life and any obligations. When she thought it was temporary and dreamed of something else.

"The Passenger" delights with good cinematographic solutions [a 360-degree flyover of the characters or overlaying the monster's image with the image from a film projector]. As per the classics, we don't really see the monster for almost the entire film and fill in the details ourselves. And the atmosphere of night roads and strange symbols add to the effect. It's a pity that the story itself turned out predictable.

The result is a reminder film that on the road you need to be careful, drive safely, and learn the traffic rules. And we recall the old familiar "Don't go, children, into the forest" and add "Don't stop on deserted night roads to answer the call of nature"
