In the Novgorod Region, deputies of the Regional Duma congratulated servicemen of one of the military units on Defender of the Fatherland Day, which is celebrated on February 23. The Duma press service reported that the deputies visited the regiment's military glory museum, inspected the conditions in the unit, spoke with the command and personnel, answered questions, and took up new appeals.

Chairman of the Regional Duma Yuri Bobryshev said that it has become a tradition for the parliament to congratulate the military before the holiday. The servicemen were awarded regional Duma honors and commemorative gifts. Yuri Bobryshev added that the personnel are in a fighting spirit and determined to win, and thanked everyone who fulfills their military duty.

Earlier, the region's residents were congratulated on Defender of the Fatherland Day by the head of the region Alexander Dronov, the mayor of Veliky Novgorod Alexander Rozbaum, and participant of the program "SVOi Heroes 53" Dmitry Kuzmichev.
