👮 Police Use AI to Create Composite Sketches

In the city of Goodyear (Arizona), police published a "composite sketch" of a suspect generated by ChatGPT.

How it works:
→ witness describes the suspect
→ artist creates a hand-drawn sketch
→ AI "polishes" the face to photorealism

This is already the second case of AI use by police. The first experiment was considered a huge success: reports of a possible suspect came in many times more than usual.

However, Professor Brandon Garrett warns of negative consequences: photorealism creates a false sense of accuracy and the risk of mistaking an innocent person increases sharply.
