
In Altai Krai, annual inflation reached 6.5% in January. Most products have become more expensive, according to the local branch of the Bank of Russia.
The biggest price increases were for tea and coffee, up 18% compared to last year. Alcohol rose by 16.5%, confectionery by 12%. Next in price growth are bread, milk, and fish.
Eggs, on the contrary, became cheaper by 19% compared to January last year. Prices for sugar, butter, and pasta also went down.
