A resident of Rubtsovsk came to the police after meeting a man on a website. He offered to make money by reselling fruit from a neighboring republic.

The woman transferred 13 thousand rubles, as she was told, to purchase the first batch. Then the man asked for another 44 thousand. She didn't have enough money, and he persuaded her to pawn an expensive smartphone at a pawnshop to cover the amount.

After the transfer, the man stopped contacting her and blocked her on messengers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a criminal case was opened on this matter. The woman said she had heard about such schemes but did not think she would fall for one herself.
