

A rally was held in Veliky Novgorod on February 23 for Defender of the Fatherland Day. It was attended by schoolchildren and students, veterans, representatives of public organizations, participants of the project "Our Heroes 53", law enforcement officers, deputies, and representatives of regional and city authorities.
At the memorial, students from school No. 22 stood guard of honor, the "Post No. 1" guard. The memory of the defenders of the Fatherland was honored with a minute of silence. Wreaths and flowers were laid at the military burial, and a gun salute was given in honor of the fallen.
In the Novgorod region, the project "Our Heroes 53" continues. The program was created on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and it prepares leaders for work in government bodies and business in the region.
