The State Duma has proposed narrowing the self-employment regime, leaving it only for services to individuals, such as nannies, tutors, and housekeepers, as well as for renting residential and commercial real estate by 2029. The number of self-employed in Russia has grown to 15 million people, and against this backdrop, discussions are increasingly focusing on what the legal regime will be after the experiment ends in 2029.
