From February 20 to 22, international swimming competitions for athletes with musculoskeletal disorders were held in Gold Coast, Australia. 164 participants from 12 countries competed for medals.

The Russian team had 14 swimmers. Roman Zhdanov, Anna Ivanova, and Alexey Ganyuk competed from Biysk.

Two medals were won in the 50-meter backstroke. Anna Ivanova, coached by Anton Vyacheslavovich Papushin, an athlete of the regional sports school "Ob", won silver in her class. Roman Zhdanov, coached by Elena Alexandrovna Sokolova, an athlete of the Altai Territory Sports Training Center, took bronze. The swimmers train at the "Zarya" base.
