▶️ Next week, Apple plans to release several new devices, including a new entry-level MacBook model (J700) and updated MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. But these won't be the only new MacBook models coming this year. A new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggests that the long-awaited touchscreen MacBook Pro will finally arrive in late 2026.

▶️ According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple will announce 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, known internally as K114 and K116. If these claims are confirmed, these MacBook Pros will finally break Apple's long-standing bias against touchscreen laptops, dating back to Steve Jobs' famous remark that "touch surfaces should not be vertical."

▶️ According to the new report, the touchscreen MacBook Pro will have separate profiles optimized for touch input or mouse input. When the touch profile is enabled, macOS will display additional menus and context-relevant actions related to the user's touch points on the screen.

▶️ Additionally, both upcoming MacBook Pro models will also feature OLED displays and a Dynamic Island. Rumors about OLED MacBooks have been circulating for several years, but Dynamic Island is new. According to the report, the Dynamic Island on future MacBook Pros will be located at the top center of the display and will be smaller than that of current iPhones, taking the form of a hole-punch cutout.
