Another sad insight I keep forgetting...
I was talking to two potential clients for the Evergreen Content service.
Both are ideal candidates.
* B2B market
* Checks from 1.5 to 10 million.
* Margin 60%
* Conversion from lead to sale 40%.
The picture shows the potential profit for each of them, with an investment of 390,000 per year (turnkey service).
FUCK! 🤬 I would have given them money for my own service, just to get 20% of the profit in a year... too bad this scheme doesn't work by itself 🥲
Reminder: there is a calculator where you can figure out how profitable it is.
I don't know about you... ☝🏻 but I ALWAYS invest in tools that promise profit in a 1-3 year horizon, because it's a strategy - invest and forget.
And what brings profit in the moment, the next 3-6 months - that's fuss, operations, chaos. This style and format of work won't go away until you've built a holding or corporation.
💡 So here's the insight:
People don't need money.
People don't want to scale.
People don't look to the future (or there are very few who do).
These are not just my words or thoughts. It's a fact. It's human nature... I can prove each point (and not just me).
But every damn time I forget about it and gladly enter the illusion that it's not so... Why? Apparently because in a world where people need money - they need me and my services on how to get it.
And where fuss is more important than strategy - I'm not needed. Where opinion is more valuable than facts - I'm superfluous.
And to not realize this bitter truth, to preserve the illusion of my usefulness to this world - I go create products, take courses, sincerely try to do good.
The sad truth is that your profit is not needed by you, but by me. Because it's proof of my worth 🥲
