Businesses increasingly hire older employees, Vedomosti reports. Experts say employers struggle to find young people with the necessary skills, so companies are more often hiring people over 50.
In Irkutsk, T2's customer service department employs 10 such workers. The company says these employees are engaged, change jobs less frequently, know how to listen, explain clearly, and help customers.
To make it easier for people to adapt to work, T2 revamped its training. They added courses on basic computer skills and typing speed, and extended the onboarding period. Each new employee is paired with a younger colleague who helps them integrate faster into a multi-generational team.
