Today I stumbled upon another proof of the old thesis that a user is capable of overcoming incredible obstacles in search of the product they need. This proof is in front of you in the picture. It's Paul Graham's blog - the founder of Y Combinator, also an investor, he made various startups and sold them. As we can see, he published an article quite recently on his website (and does so regularly), while the site looks like it's from the 2000s.
We are often told things like "Amazon sped up page loading by 2 seconds and sales doubled." I won't argue with that, but I'll say that's for businesses. While you have a startup, it's not time to focus on optimization. If a user doesn't want to overcome small obstacles for your product, then they don't need it enough for the startup to take off. Paul Graham understands this, and you?
