I started googling and voila, instead of Plantation I found some Planteray.
First thought - the importer brought in some substitute instead of Plantation and sells it "under the guise", second thought - the manufacturer released a separate brand for Russia, like the Zara-MAAG scheme.

I started googling and the reality turned out to be much more interesting.

In short - in 2020, amid the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, the manufacturer was accused of hinting at slavery, slave trade, and other business models of past centuries; in short, the word "Plantation" offended people greatly.

The manufacturer ignored the accusation and lay low, but BLM reminded them a second time, and then the company decided they couldn't get away with it and renamed the brand to Planteray, supposedly, of course, on their own initiative, you get it.

At the same time, the company that owns the brand is from France and the brand was founded in 1999.
