At 04:38 Irkutsk time on February 28, a fire was reported in a garden house on Bulavina Street in the gardening community "Lesnik-1" in Angarsk. Fourteen specialists and four vehicles arrived at the scene.

By the time the first unit arrived, the house and veranda were already fully engulfed in flames, and the fire could have spread to neighboring structures. Neighbors said there was a person inside. Rescuers found a deceased man on the floor in the room; he was 92 years old.

The fire covered 54 square meters. Two structures were saved from the fire.
