In the greenhouses of Trubichino near Veliky Novgorod, the harvest of the cucumber variety 'Athlete' is ripening. This is a bee-pollinated cucumber grown in soil, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Novgorod Region.

The Ministry of Agriculture says that 'Athlete' yields a good harvest and is valued for its taste. According to them, the taste and smell are influenced by bee pollination and the composition of the soil. The soil helps the cucumbers receive nutrients and moisture naturally.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Novgorod Region Vladimir Tatarenko reported that in 2025, Trubichino produced almost 6 thousand tons of vegetables, of which 3,688 tons were cucumbers.
