▶️ Honor opened MWC 2026 with the presentation of its latest foldable smartphone — the Magic V6. This is a landmark event not only for Honor but also for foldable smartphones in general, as it is the first model with IP68 and IP69 water ingress protection. This is a true flagship, equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a triple camera with a dedicated periscope offering 3x optical zoom, and an advanced lithium-carbon battery with a capacity of 6660 mAh.
▶️ From an engineering perspective, this is the most durable foldable Honor model to date. It features a new Super Steel hinge made from the strongest steel available on the market. In Honor's labs, it was tested for 500,000 folds and unfolds.
▶️ Despite its increased durability, the Magic V6 remains very thin and light. When folded, its thickness is 8.75 mm, exactly matching the thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the white model weighs 219 grams. When unfolded, the Magic V6 is just 4 mm thick.
▶️ The Magic V6 features a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2172 x 2352 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. It has a reinforced layer of ultra-thin glass (UTG) and a 44% reduced crease depth, making it less noticeable compared to previous generations. Honor also added a new anti-glare layer to improve readability. Its peak local brightness reaches up to 5000 nits.
▶️ The cover screen has a 6.52-inch diagonal, variable LTPO 2.0 refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, FHD+ resolution, and peak local brightness up to 6000 nits. Both the cover and main displays support stylus input and are equipped with 20-megapixel selfie cameras.
▶️ The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in the Magic V6 is complemented by 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
▶️ On the back, Honor features the familiar triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main lens with f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is paired with a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with an equivalent focal length of 70 mm (1/2-inch sensor) offering 3x optical zoom. The third lens on the back is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.
▶️ On the software side, the Magic V6 runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and Honor promises 7 major Android updates. Honor also offers updated cross-platform capabilities for Apple devices. Honor Connect now supports two-way notification sync between the Magic V6 and iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch devices.
▶️ Mac users can easily share files with the Magic V6 and even use its main screen as a second display.
▶️ The Magic V6 also features a large Si-C battery with a capacity of 6660 mAh, 25% silicon content, and an energy density of 921 Wh/L. The phone supports 80W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging, as well as reverse wireless charging.
▶️ The Honor Magic V6 will be available in red, gold, white, and black colors. Honor has not yet announced pricing or availability information for the Magic V6.
