The thaw in Moscow will last until the end of the week. The snow depth has already decreased from a record 73 cm to 58 cm.

The average daily temperature will remain around zero, and the snow will continue to melt. By the weekend, subzero temperatures and light snow will return to the capital. Daytime temperatures are expected to drop to minus 5 degrees.
