We continue our dive into the world of analytical thinking. To simplify, analytics is a normal engineering approach to life and business:
There is a problem → we figure it out → we make a decision → we implement → we check the result.
Without data, any decisions turn into a lottery. To avoid this, it's enough to go through 5 steps:
1️⃣ Understand the context. What actually happened?
2️⃣ Describe the problem. Clearly formulate the task (often the most difficult stage).
3️⃣ Analyze the data. Gather facts, not opinions.
4️⃣ Make a decision. Based on numbers, not intuition.
5️⃣ Implement and verify. Actually do it, not just discuss it at a meeting. Make sure it didn't get worse.
👉 In the next part, we'll look at specific types of analytics and tools.
