The detective story rediscovered for Zoomers the figure of Jodie Foster, her ability to be both steely and fragile (and most importantly — without Botox). First, the viewer is enveloped in the melancholy of autumn, then the narrative flows into a lingering, almost ringing peace of winter. In the final scene, the heroine looks at the fresh snow, a pure symbol. It sweeps away (resets) the past, mistakes, and pain, leaving only this feeling of a beginning.

But, if you remove all the visual poetry, the bottom line is that we again observe the fundamental questions on which modern cinema rests: family, love, and fidelity. It seems that in times of total instability, any work strives to ground the viewer to basic values.
