Rumor: Honor X80 GT to Break All Battery Capacity Records
▶️ While Apple, Google, and Samsung continue to release devices with batteries no larger than 5000 mAh, Chinese brands are rapidly innovating with Silicon Carbon technology. Honor was recognized for this at MWC earlier this month, and the brand shows no signs of stopping.
▶️ According to new rumors from China, the upcoming Honor X80 GT will feature a 13,080 mAh battery. Previously, it was reported that the "regular" X80 (non-GT) would have a 10,000 mAh battery, which is 10,000 mAh more than the X70 (8300 mAh), itself commendable.
▶️ At this point, Honor seems to be competing only with itself, at least in the mid-range smartphone segment. The recently released Honor Win has a 10,000 mAh battery, and the Honor Power 2 has 10,080 mAh, giving the company reason to be proud.
▶️ Unfortunately, no other details about the Honor X80 GT are known at this time. However, it's worth noting that the X70 was released in July last year with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, 8/12 GB RAM, 128/256/512 GB storage, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, and an 8 MP front camera. We expect the X80 GT to improve on these specs, but by how much remains to be seen.
