The Innovation Promotion Fund supported 158 projects under the Start-1 program for about 785 million rubles.
I took the liberty of analyzing the main funding areas:
AI and digital platforms — 56% of projects and 435 million rubles. This is a key focus, covering solutions in data analysis, business process automation, computer vision systems, natural language processing, voice assistants, and decision support platforms.
Medicine and healthcare — 21.5%, including high-tech medical devices, diagnostic software, prosthetics, and biosensors.
Aerospace and unmanned systems — 7%, with projects on engines, navigation, and facility protection using UAVs.
Others: education, sports, agriculture, industrial equipment, materials, and chemistry.
P.S. Artificial intelligence projects are divided into subcategories:
- Computer vision — automation of video and image analysis (sports, medicine, industrial production).
- Natural language processing and voice technologies — chatbots, educational assistants, legal modules, voice assistants.
- Intelligent decision support systems — business analytics, monitoring, and process optimization platforms.
- Autonomous and predictive systems — AI for production management, logistics, and IT.
- Modern ML architectures — generative AI, models with explainable solutions, multimodal systems.
Why these particular projects?
The fund finances projects at the prototype and MVP stage, prioritizing import substitution, digitalization, and medical technologies.
Some projects align with the federal project "Technologies" and the strategic objectives of the Russian Federation.
