There is a special feeling when you stand on stage after recognized professors and heads of research centers, representing the position of big business before an audience for whom technology is often more important than practice.
This is the intersection of two worlds: fundamental science and entrepreneurship.
I won't bore you with conclusions about the entire conference. I'll tell you what I see in reality:
Robotics and AI work for business in exactly two scenarios:
The first is automation of routine in current processes.
This leads to cost and headcount reduction. This is a survival tactic, not a growth strategy.
The second is using technology to accelerate the development of new products. This is the strategic path. And only this direction should be a priority.
The goal is one: every project brings profit. No one has made billions on savings. Big money is always the result of the ability to create more value through new technologies and new markets.
