Relatively recently, a new channel has started operating in Russia where a startup can try to raise investments. This is crowd investing or raising funds from the crowd. It works simply - you submit an application, if the platform approves you, you publish materials and wait. Ordinary people can invest from 5,000 rubles if they believe in your business. After raising funds, you organize a joint-stock company, issue preferred shares (without voting rights) and register them on the platform, they become the property of your investors. Everything is official, the platforms have all the necessary licenses from the Central Bank, and I found 5 of them.

The first and most famous one, with the most projects and some completed, is brainbox. I am not yet closely familiar with the others, but they also work: Rounds, Zorko, Zapusk, Bizmall.

The conditions are roughly the same everywhere, 10-15% of the company is sold, the amount from one investor is from 5-10 thousand rubles.

I think that this method of fundraising is not only to get 10-15 million, but also to gather a large audience of "sellers" - on average, a project gathers 300 investors, I understand that there are a couple of "whales" and the rest go in at the minimum. They are interested, they will protect the project and tell their friends about it, they will join your Telegram group and actively participate in various ProductHunt events, like your articles, and thus greatly help with PR at the start - because they are helping not you, but themselves, they want the business to take off and their 5 thousand to become 30 tomorrow.
