The University of Helsinki has launched the 2026 version of its legendary open Python course.

What's inside:
🟢 Two parts (Introduction and Advanced), divided into 14 logical blocks. From the very basics to OOP and recursion.
🟢 A huge amount of practice with automatic checking via a VS Code plugin.
🟢 At the end — an independent project, not just copy-pasting after the lecturer.
🟢 For video lovers, there are recordings of last year's lectures, but the course base is reading and writing code by hand.

Of course, this course won't give you that same education in the form of a community, strict code review of architecture by a live senior, and complex team projects. But as a tool for hammering syntax and algorithmic thinking into your head, it's good.
Naturally, in English.
