Colleagues from the accelerator conducted an interesting study. They looked at all university teams that participated in the early-stage accelerator. They noticed an interesting correlation. Among the teams that reached pilot industrial tests and received a contract, 95% had someone from the faculty or experienced entrepreneurs on the team. The remaining 5% could not complete the pilot tests due to difficulties with team retention and economics.

What conclusion can be drawn?
An experienced mentor who joins the team, a teacher, a person from the industry - will not only help with their knowledge but also must definitely have a large network, resources, and understanding of how to work with a team. This definitely strengthens the student team, and in return gives more energy and a fresh perspective. This makes combined teams more powerful than separate teams of teachers (not yet confirmed hypothesis) and separate teams of students (confirmed on a two-year sample).
