Your Life in Weeks

That's the name of a website that, based on your date of birth, gender, and country of residence, calculates your average life expectancy and visualizes your life as blocks.

Each block is one week; colored blocks are already lived, dark ones are yet to come. To reinforce the "glass half empty" effect, it shows you the remainder of your life in tangible terms — how many Mondays left, how many summer seasons, haircuts, etc.

We tend to worry if we waste money, but easily accept wasting time.

That's because we think money is finite and time is not. In reality, it's the exact opposite.

For me, this "motivational" site measured I have 22 more years or 1,191 weeks to live, i.e., 65 years — apparently the average life expectancy for men in the country, although Kamalama gave 10 more years.

Have fun 🦑
