If you're not up to date with Apple news, I'll briefly explain: Apple users had the option to pay for Apple services using their mobile phone account. The other day, this feature was blocked, meaning all data stored in iCloud should have been deleted for those users.
This is very hard — I myself have photos from half my life stored in iCloud, even though I now use Android.
In short, Apple made an exception exclusively for exceptional Russians and refused to delete account data even if unpaid.
A beautiful gesture.
