NASA has released the first images of Earth taken by the crew of the Orion spacecraft heading to the Moon.

Commander Reid Wiseman took this picture after Orion maneuvered its engines, left Earth's orbit, and headed to the Moon to loop around it and return to Earth.

As part of the Artemis 2 mission, Orion will travel more than 400,000 km from Earth—a first for a crewed flight—and loop around the Moon.
