How a travel agent with 16 years of experience couldn't submit documents for a foreign passport on the first try🤪

Back in February, we booked Turkey for August for a family trip, including the youngest, Peter, who was just over a month old at the time.

Nothing surprising, a package tour on a charter allows you to book and lock in the price even without a passport. The main thing is to enter the data 24 hours before departure.

📆 And so, early April, it's time to take care of the documents. I have a choice: apply through Gosuslugi and go to the district MVD, where there are eternal crowds, or go to the MFC, submit and receive there. I chose the MFC.
⏰ On the appointed day, I took a photo of Peter, came with him to submit documents. On the way, I remembered the application form, but for some reason thought they would quickly fill it out themselves. But no…

I say: "There is no application form."
They reply: "Please, you can print it out over there, fill it out, and give it to us right away."

But Peter "had his say" here, starting to fidget discontentedly, so we went home without submitting the full package. We'll have to go again.

I was glad again that I chose early booking: we locked in the prices, and there is time to calmly handle the documents. The main thing is not to delay the second trip to the MFC, still a month to wait for the passport to be issued😉

❗Also keep in mind that if you submit documents not in your region of registration, the processing time increases to 3 months.
