The statistics counter sometimes brings interesting things. For example, recently I noticed that people started visiting giftscomic.com (this is the English version of the comic "Gifts of the Wandering Ice") from some site kagi.com. Not many, but steadily, every day. I got curious about this mysterious source and went to find out.
What is Kagi and what does it have to do with comics?
Kagi, as it turns out, is a paid (!) search engine, which is already unusual. But even more interesting is their separate project Kagi Small Web, which seriously and completely free of charge supports small personal websites of creative people.
All comics from the Spiderforest community (remember, I wrote about it, here's that post) are already on their list, including mine. Plus, anyone can suggest a new site for the catalog. By the way, webcomics get special attention there, and there is even a separate section for them.
In addition to the catalog, Kagi Small Web has a randomizer, so people can find a random small site just by clicking around in their free time. That's how they come across my comic, case solved.
If you have an English version of your comic on a separate site, you should definitely join, colleagues.
Readers, don't pass by either: small heartfelt sites are wonderful. That someone big and rich suddenly decided to support them is doubly wonderful.
