Apple TV released the first teaser for 'Widow's Bay' — a new series with Matthew Rhys

The Apple streaming service shared a teaser for the horror-comedy 'Widow's Bay', which premieres on April 29.

The lead role — the mayor of a quiet island 40 miles off the coast of New England — is played by Emmy winner Matthew Rhys ('The Americans'). His character Tom Loftis tries desperately to turn a dying town into a tourist paradise: no Wi-Fi, gloomy superstitious residents, and a reputation as a cursed place. And unfortunately for him, he succeeds — tourists arrive. And along with them, something long dormant awakens.

The series was created by Katie Dippold, and directed by Hiro Murai — the director of iconic episodes of 'Atlanta' and Childish Gambino music videos. The supporting cast includes Kate O'Flynn, Stephen Root, Dale Dickey, and Emmy winner Jeff Hiller.

📅 First two episodes on April 29, then new episodes every Wednesday through June 17. 10 episodes total.
