Check the work of "designers", freelancers, and agency in-house specialists... before sending it to print.

Every time they update the mosaic of masterpieces in the elevator, I scrutinize it and get a strange pleasure from contemplating this devilry 😁 And every time I see mistakes, heresy, satanic design, and other attempts to scare off the last clients... 🥲

Today alone, I found 3 typos and 1 blunder by the "designer".

Why do I put the word "designer" in quotes? Because a designer with even basic education would never write black text on a dark blue background - that's HARAM! 🤬

Such a blunder can only be made by a layout artist - and that's a different profession. A layout artist doesn't give a damn about design; their main goal is not to argue with management and do as they're told - he who pays the piper calls the tune.

Design is the creation of a visual concept from elements of perception structure, psychology, and the laws of color and symmetry.

And layout is the implementation of that structure, i.e., the placement and distribution of design elements.

In other words: A designer is the architect of a building, while a layout artist is a loader or a bricklayer.

Sadly, 999 out of 1000 clients never come to understand this, not through experience, education, or theoretical reasoning, and they still confuse their ass with their elbow.

😱 I wonder what reputational damage has been done to the clinic, given that this ad will likely hang for at least 3 months in about 100 elevators in the city? Well, that's at least a loss of time and money on advertising + loss of conversions.

🐱 All of this ties in perfectly with yesterday's post. This is exactly what a cheap specialist, hasty decisions, saving on consulting, personal preference, and subjective taste look like.
