The Ostiguy family has owned the only funeral home in their small hometown for three generations. After the sudden death of Uncle Pierre-Guy, the family matriarch Paulette (a loving but domineering woman over 70) is forced to postpone her sunny retirement in Florida and prepare her sons to take over the business.

The eldest son Daniel is a true master at handling bodies but completely unable to communicate with living clients. The younger son Luc, a former hockey star now bankrupt, depressed, and up to his ears in debt, has the necessary charm but absolutely does not want to get involved in the family business.

The series combines family squabbles, black humor, and warm moments in the unusual setting of a funeral parlor.
