Praising ourselves no matter what 😎

Well, friends, it's time to wrap up the week. It turned out really good, and a couple of pleasant events happened these days that I want to share.

So, what can we praise ourselves for? 🤔

I had encountered it before, about six months ago, but back then everything was at a basic level: cutting video, slightly adjusting audio. But more complex things, color correction and working with music, remained beyond my understanding.

Now I've started to delve deeper, and honestly, it's very engaging. Especially impressive is color grading: when from a dull, grayish image, literally with a few (dozens 😂) moves, you get a bright, volumetric picture with properly set light and shadows. It feels like the frame really comes to life 🔥

Of course, not everything is perfect yet, the first pancake is lumpy. But that's normal. The main thing is that there is forward movement and enjoyment of the process itself. And that's something.

Resolving a conflict without burning the fifth point 💪

I managed to calmly close a difficult situation without complaints or dissatisfaction from the client. And for me, this is also a separate small victory.

The situation was this: for one of the projects in dentistry, we made a system of operational dashboards for services and finances. After a couple of weeks of use, the client had a question:
Why do the data differ from the medical system?


We started to investigate and found out that part of the data is entered manually. The economist adjusts them after downloading from the system to bring the indicators to internal standards. Because of this, discrepancies appear, and along with them, a natural question: where is the truth then?

In general, this is a typical problem of manual entry: there is no single source of data. When everything is tied to one person, the risks immediately increase. If they go on vacation, processes start to sag. Plus, there are often no clear regulations 🤦‍♂️
Previously, such situations caused a much sharper reaction from me. Now everything went calmly: in about two hours we checked everything, ran tests, and made sure the system works correctly, down to the smallest details 👍

And most importantly: we didn't just say, "We have everything right. Figure it out yourselves." We helped find the source of discrepancies and offered a solution. This approach, when you do the work not just formally but truly take responsibility for the result, brings special satisfaction.

These two events are what I will remember this week for 👏
