TOP-49 out of 829. Interim.

This year I applied for the "Project Manager" track from the Presidential Academy — this is the VIII All-Russian competition, reformatted in 2026: instead of the usual nominations ("project manager", "project office manager", etc.) — two professional tracks.

By the numbers:
▪️ Round I (professional-technical test) — threshold 50%, 142 out of 829 passed (17.1%)

▪️ Round II (evaluation of the project activity report) — threshold 2.0 points out of 3, 49 out of 142 passed. My score: 2.77 / 3 (92.22%)

▪️ Round III ahead

Why I participate at all is a separate question, which I answer to myself along the way. Competitions with an independent jury are one of the few ways to test your expertise not by client reviews or self-perception, but by someone else's scale that you don't control. It turns out to be a fairly honest diagnosis.

What I noticed about Round II: the project activity report is about the ability to structurally describe what you did, why, and what result can be verified. Most people get cut off here — not because the projects are weak, but because the ability to package it in a format understandable to an external evaluator is a separate skill.

From this comes the understanding that managerial maturity is also about the ability to make your work visible. I don't always succeed at this, to be honest.
