Albariño never took off in Russia, although some Russian wineries even managed to plant it.
The takeoff didn't happen largely due to its niche nature, low global recognition, and of course the price.
But that's no reason to stop singing praises to this variety.
And after a couple of years, Mar de Frades Albariño has returned to our shelves.

A bit about the variety:

Albariño is a white grape variety, widespread in Spanish Galicia.
It is best known as the key variety of the Spanish sub-region Rías Baixas (Rias Baixas DO), where it produces full-bodied white wines with a fruity, citrus, mineral character, well suited to the local seafood cuisine, but seafood is also available in Moscow, I believe you'll manage.
