Alexander Stavtsev's book "History of Wine Trade in Russia" comes out in June 🍷

I foresee a large-scale and comprehensive study with a bunch of archival materials from different corners of Russia.
Historically, imported wine was brought into Russia through northern cities, but grapes were naturally grown in the south, so it will definitely be interesting.
From Arkhangelsk to Astrakhan, as they say.

Honestly, there are few books that I'm really looking forward to, but I was waiting for this one and for some reason thought it would cost 2-3 times more, but it turned out cheaper than a bottle of decent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

There is little literature about wine, and even less about Russia and wine, pre-order if you're interested.
