Remembering how to bind books. I made myself an author's copy of "The Path of Ukusai". Here it is in the photo, the first and so far the only one in the whole wide world.

In thickness (821 pages), The Path turned out almost like the Obsidian Triad. But, I think the font is a bit large; I can make it smaller, then it will be about 700. I'll test it on the next version, and at the same time check how the color cover will look.

Now about binding. How simple and beautiful this process looks in crafters' videos and in bookbinding books! In reality, for everyone who gets into this, an abyss of unaccounted little things opens up, multiplied by the need to replace missing professional materials and tools with improvised means.

The last time I bound a book was about ten years ago. I forgot everything! While working on The Path, I stumbled over every mistake and collected all the bumps. What a nightmare! Good thing it's over: it will be easier from now on.
