Studied the composition of my favorite curly hair gel from the founder of the curly method Deva Curl and was horrified

Unfortunately, the composition turned out to contain several polymers related to microplastics

-> VP/VA Copolymer
-> Polyquaternium-7
-> Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer

When washed off and entering water, microplastic particles do not dissolve or disappear, but accumulate in the environment, then end up in the bodies of animals, including humans


I bought this gel about 6 years ago on iherb (just finished it!) at a time when the topic of microplastics was absent from the information field. Unfortunately, now I will have to look for an alternative.

Plus, its price has skyrocketed 🚀
