A little over a month ago, my second child was born, so I simply decided to put many of my affairs on hold to avoid burning out completely.

Also, I'm sure many of you, like me, have experienced the strongest FOMO in the last 4 years over the past 2–3 months, when Codex and Claude Code became so good that you could, if you wanted, make one project a day.

And on Twitter/YouTube/Telegram, all you saw was some other gentleman hitting $70k MRR.

In the US, there's an influx of B2B SaaS, and on Product Hunt and Product Radar, the flow of startup applications has increased 2–3 times.

And against the backdrop of rising GPU costs, a possible global crisis due to the conflict in the Middle East, and a bunch of other factors, it seems like it's now or never.

But at some point, I felt a bit calmer — not 100%, but definitely better. And I focused on fewer projects, and if I did something completely new, it was only if it was in the orbit of the focus product and strengthened it, was a hypothesis, but not a completely separate product.

I also noticed that some other guys who not only caught FOMO but also acted accordingly, launching 7–10 projects simultaneously, calmed down and focused on 1–2.

Fear tells you to diversify as much as possible and try many things at once, but value lies in depth, and only a huge team or a corporation can provide depth in 10 products. And when you're a startup team or a solopreneur, there's a high risk that the shotgun strategy will only lead to burnout.

This is just an example of a product that was also separate from the main one, but in its orbit and created for the main one.
