"Grace" plays in contrast to Paolo Sorrentino's recent works. While those were a carnival sensation, an embodiment of the Dionysian chaos of life, the new film tastes like white fish with quinoa (which is exactly what the main character always has for dinner).

The story of reflections on the adoption of a new law on euthanasia falls on the viewer like a heavy blanket, forcing one to feel the weight of responsibility with the whole body.

However, the Italian classic decided to speak not only on the topic of ownership of life, but also addressed domestic violence, the issue of infidelity and power. More on the latter. The best politician is the one who makes no decisions. By staying on the sidelines, one can become a universal favorite, but be ruthless towards the people who need that decision.

"Grace" is hard to call a light film. It is an ascetic prayer, during which you can accidentally fall asleep and spend long evenings surrounded by thoughts of loss.

The musical accompaniment blew me away. The simple play on contrasts feels genius)
